Most floors that fail didn’t fail because of the product — they failed because of prep. Here’s the method we’ve refined over 17 years of Saskatchewan slabs, whether your floor is coated, polished, repaired, or restored.
Why don’t our floors fail? Because we diamond-grind the slab, test for moisture, and repair every crack before any finish goes down — coating, polish, Flexstone, or restoration. Failure is almost always a prep shortcut, so prep is exactly where we don’t take one.
Every floor starts the same way.
Assess & moisture-test
We evaluate the slab and run a moisture-vapor (MVB) test. High moisture gets a vapor-barrier primer — skipping this is a top cause of failed floors.
Diamond grinding
We mechanically diamond-grind the surface to bare, open concrete. This — not acid etching, not a quick scuff — is what every finish needs to truly bond or polish up.
Crack & joint repair
Cracks, spalls, pits, and control joints are repaired and filled so the finished floor is flush, sound, and free of weak points.
Then it’s built for your floor.
The prep is universal; the finish isn’t. Step four is where the same sound, clean slab becomes whichever floor you hired us for.
Garage & shop coatings
Two days — drive on it about 24 hours after the final coat.
Polished concrete
No heavy coating — the concrete itself is the finish, sealed with a polish guard that maximizes stain resistance.
Concrete repair
Cures stronger than the original — many repairs are back in service the same day.
Flexstone coatings
Waterproof and slip-resistant — decks, balconies, basements, indoors or out.
Dr. Schutz restoration
A refresh for vinyl and resilient floors — not a tear-out.
